OFFICIAL PROCESS GUIDE How to Actually Apply
in Shein’s Free Trial Center

A simple walkthrough of the real steps — based on Shein’s own Free Trial Help Center — so you know exactly what to do.

Independent educational guide — Based on publicly available information from Shein’s Free Trial Help Center. We are not affiliated with Shein. Participation is selective and approval is never guaranteed. Always follow the official terms of each campaign.

If you’ve ever opened the Free Trial section, clicked around, and still felt unsure — you’re not alone. The process is straightforward once you know the order of the steps.

Below is a practical walkthrough of how people usually apply, check results, and submit reviews. Selection is never guaranteed, but following the official path helps you avoid the mistakes that stop most applications early.

1

Open the Free Trial Center

Log into your Shein account. On the app, go to your profile → Other Services (or More Services) → Free Trial Center. On the website, look for Free Trial under community/services.

Browse the items currently available. They change often, so what you see today may not be there next week.

2

Apply for up to 3 items this week

You get 3 opportunities per week. Unused ones do not carry over to the next week.

When you find something you actually want to try:

  • Tap Free Trial on the item
  • Choose your correct size
  • Confirm a shipping address from the same country as the Shein site you’re using
  • Hit Submit

Important: If the address country does not match the site country, the application can fail. Double-check this before submitting.

3

Check your results in My Free Trial

Processing usually takes about one week. Go to My Free Trial / My Applications to see the status:

  • Approved — you were selected. The order is generated at $0 and shipped automatically.
  • Failed — that specific application did not move forward. You can try again with other items when new opportunities open.

4

Try the item and write your review

Once the product arrives, try it on and pay attention to quality, style, fit, fabric, and construction.

Then submit a detailed, honest review through your account — ideally within 10 days of receiving it. You can track it under My Report.

What usually works better:

  • Real pros and cons (not only positives)
  • Clear photos — ideally one full-body shot + detail shots of the item
  • Specific notes on fit, fabric, and how it feels in real use

About points: An approved report can contribute about 20 points. A Quality Report can add around 100 extra points.

If your first review is rejected, you may get one extra chance to fix and resubmit it.

Rules worth remembering

• Max 3 applications per week (they do not accumulate)

• Address must match the country of the Shein site you’re on

• Shipping is covered by Shein; customs may apply depending on your country

• Aim to submit the review within 10 days after delivery

• Fake or multi-accounts can get you banned from Free Trial

• Skipping the review can hurt future chances

Mistakes that often block progress

❌ Incomplete profile or wrong size

❌ Address from a different country than the site

❌ Applying days after popular items already filled up

❌ Short generic reviews with no real photos

❌ Missing the review window

❌ Creating multiple accounts to apply more

Quick answers

Do I pay for shipping?

In most Free Trial cases, Shein covers shipping. Depending on your country, customs duty may still apply.

How many items can I apply for?

Up to 3 per week. Unused opportunities do not roll over.

Can I keep the product?

Yes. In the standard Free Trial, selected products are usually yours to keep after you submit the required review.

How long until I know if I was selected?

Usually about one week. Check My Free Trial / My Applications for Approved or Failed status.

What if my review gets rejected?

You may get one extra chance to fix and resubmit. Follow the photo and content requirements carefully.

Do I need a big following?

No. Honest, detailed reviews and consistent activity matter more than follower count.

That’s the full loop: open Free Trial Center → apply (max 3/week) → wait for status → if approved, receive the item → submit a real review with photos. Keep your profile accurate, apply early when new items appear, and don’t skip the review step.
